Job Description

Rate of Pay: $16.85/hour USD

Banquet servers are responsible for serving the menu offering for the event and assisting guests as needed. 

• Table setting food station design and beverage service. 
• Other duties include general banquet preparation room refreshes and maintaining a safe and sanitary working environment. 
• Maintain complete knowledge of:
  • Daily scheduled group functions times locations amount of people.
  • Location of all hotel function space and names of rooms.
  • All styles of meeting and banquet room settings.
  • Correct maintenance and use of equipment.
  • All departmental/hotel policies and procedures.
  • All safety guidelines.
  • Serve wine in accordance to the Banquet Event Order.
• Ability to understand guests service needs and set up requirements.
• Ability to prioritize organize and follow through.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to focus attention on detail.
• Ability to adhere to timelines in completion of setups.
• Ability to adapt to priority changes of work flow or requirements.
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision from Manager.
• Ability to performs and remain extremely alert while operating designated equipment machinery and tools.
• Ability to exert physical effort in transporting and placement of tables chairs staging dance floor podiums and other meeting/banquet room equipment. (When Needed)
• Ability to endure physical movements in performing job functions.
• Ability to work cohesively with other departments and coworkers as part of a team.

Qualifications :

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently.

• Food handling certification.
• Ability to satisfactory communication in English with guests management and coworkers to their understanding.
• Ability to provide legible communication.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
• High school graduate.
• Previous experience in similar hospitality position.
• Knowledge of various room setups and equipment involved.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling and cleaning techniques.
• Previous guest relations training.
