The Business Development Manager is our Hach Flow sales leader who has primary responsibility for driving growth of the Open Channel (Hach Flow) product line across municipal, industrial and E&C accounts. The Business Development Manager will develop relationships throughout key accounts and channel partners with the goal of a partnership between McCrometer and the company or organization which is lasting and mutually beneficial.

This position will cover the Western part of the United States, is part of the Sales Department, and will be a remote position based within driving distance of a major airport.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Manages, prioritizes, and grows the project sales funnel to achieve targeted sales growth of the open channel product line.
  • Drive sales and maintain relationships with leading design engineering companies, General Contractors, Systems Integrators, Subcontractors, technical experts, and regulatory agencies that are regularly engaged in projects involving analytical instrumentation within the industrial and municipal waste-water market.
  • Serve as key communication link between the Sales Management team Bid Specialists, DDS Service Managers, and other company departments for winning municipal and industrial projects.
  • Develops and executes solution sales strategies to drive bookings and revenue growth in the territory and help develop strategies for Open Channel product line growth across the organization.
  • Executes planned activities/events and documents in CRM, Salesforce.com (SFDC).

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • BA, BS or MS degree required. A degree in a science related field such as Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent is an asset.
  • 7+ years of experience managing sales processes for complex bids and/or project implementations required.
  • Experience with collection systems, infrastructure, and/or instrument projects.
  • Experience in or working with Engineering & Consulting Firms.
  • Technical experience selling in water/wastewater treatment plants or similar bid projects a plus.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Commission Pay.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
