Job Description

Our client is a leading global business law firm looking for a collaborative, results-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has exceptional problem-solving skills. Naviga has been engaged to recruit a litigation Attorney (non-partnership track) to join its Insurance group in the Business & Commercial practice group. This position is open to California-admitted lawyers open to working in our San Francisco, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, or San Diego offices.

Responsibilities:
  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties; 
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner; 
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product; 
  • Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required; 
  • Foster positive work relationships; 
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices; 
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed; 
  • Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned;

Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience. 
  • Prior law firm insurance litigation experience
  • Experience with analysis of coverage issues and drafting coverage analysis and position letters
  • Knowledge and experience in investigating cases, drafting discovery demands and responses, drafting motions, litigating coverage, and other insurance related disputes
  • Extensive experience with court hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Experience advising clients on business decisions relating to matters
  • Significant experience in discovery practice including depositions
  • Strong analytical and writing skills

Education: 
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required
  • Admitted to practice in California
