Job Title: Mail Clerk
Duration: 1.5 months (Possible Extension)

Summary :
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This role primarily involves managing communications operating the switchboard and overseeing the distribution and handling of mail. The clerk will play a key role in ensuring smooth daytoday operations by providing excellent customer service and supporting various administrative functions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Operate the switchboard answering and transferring telephone calls to the appropriate individuals departments or resources. Ensure all calls are handled professionally and efficiently. Respond to inperson inquiries from faculty staff students and visitors.
Sort incoming mail for proper distribution and collection. Examine outgoing mail and packages seal envelopes weigh mail determine appropriate postage and apply postage using the postage meter.
Provide accurate clear and timely information to visitors and callers ensuring that all inquiries are addressed efficiently and professionally.
Perform other related administrative tasks as required including filing organizing and maintaining office supplies. Support various departments as needed by managing communication and assisting with routine office duties.
Qualifications:
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Detailoriented with experience handling mail and office tasks.
Ability to follow instructions and interact professionally with others.
Team player with good organizational and multitasking abilities.
