Job Description

Position Purpose:

Day-to-day responsibilities include but not limited to the operation of a profitable equipment rental and supply center. Ensure all customers rental equipment needs are met in a timely and professional manner by managing the coordination of equipment deliveries, retrievals, installations and all rental equipment maintenance. Create and implement policies and procedures, specifically relating to the maintenance of equipment, sales, customer satisfaction, and management of the branch employees. Ensure branch is successful in all areas. Reporting to the Florida Division Manager. And other related duties as assigned by management or as develop due to business necessity and growth.


The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction rental equipment, industrial equipment rental, sales or management, pumps, irrigation industry as well as management experience. 

Specific Responsibilities, but not limited to:
  • Manage overall branch operations to ensure productivity, customer service, customer satisfaction and profitability. 
  • Create and manage a Rental Preventative Maintenance schedule to include all tools, drive units, facility, material handling equipment and company vehicles
  • Manage all safety matter including safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations, DFWP, safety records retention.
  • Oversee all sales efforts and business initiatives for the branch
  • Develop the skills and attitudes to organize as well as motivate the entire branch team 
  • Ensure branch success
  • Work with Human Resources on all employee related issues
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees
  • Enforce all safety and HR policies and procedures
  • Supervise the rental service staff and develop their talents so they can contribute to both customer service and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Assist in hiring staff as needed
  • 24-hour on call availability for service and client emergencies
  • Recognize the future need to expand to include supervision of other Rental Division locations
  • Any and other related duties as assigned by management or as develop due to business necessity and growth.
General Skills Expected:
  • Minimum 5 yrs of successful business management at a profit center experience preferred
  • Must have an Engineering degree
  • Must be Bilingual—proficient in both English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience, including effective leadership and motivational skills
  • Strong industrial safety skills
  • Experience in the equipment rental industry is preferred but not required
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in an ever changing fast paced environment
  • Multi-tasking and great attention to detail is required
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook programs
  • Work effectively in a team environment while independent and autonomous.
  • The ability to maintain and encourage an enthusiastic attitude, excellent initiative, and a strong work ethic for yourself, coworkers, subordinates all employees with whom you come in contact
  • Maintain open mind and foresight to help the company continue to be more efficient and productive
Work with all departments involved and facilitate communication and problem resolution to meet deadlines as needed and required to accomplish goals & objective
