### The Role: Senior Policy Analyst
As a Senior Policy Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting a federal agency's front-line integration office, providing expertise in strategy, policy analysis, business process improvement, communications, and project management. This role acts as a primary point of contact for the client, guiding the development of policies and plans to help them achieve their goals.

In this role, you'll work on diverse responsibilities, such as policy analysis, project planning, strategic support, process improvement, and meeting coordination. Here's a closer look at what you'll do:

#### Key Responsibilities
- Policy Analysis:
- Become a policy expert, researching and tracking policy issues, legislative provisions, and proposals relevant to the client.
- Analyze potential impacts on the agency's programs and provide recommendations.
- Engage as a thought leader in policy discussions and coordinate among federal staff, partners, and stakeholders.


- Project Planning and Management:
- Work closely with the client to deliver high-quality outcomes, track project progress, and identify risks.
- Develop key project management tools such as action item trackers, stakeholder engagement plans, and communication plans.


- Strategic Support:
- Translate high-level strategies into actionable plans, support reporting, and provide recommendations to assist the client in achieving their goals.
- Perform data analysis to support decision-making and contribute to reports and briefings for senior leadership.

- Process Design and Improvement:
- Identify areas for business efficiency improvement and lead initiatives to enhance processes and workflows.
- Develop user guides and provide training to facilitate the adoption of new processes.


- Meeting Support:
- Plan and coordinate client meetings, including agenda setting, material preparation, facilitation, and notetaking.

- Communications:
- Develop clear communication products, such as fact sheets, reports, presentations, and talking points for leadership briefings.

### Qualifications

- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in fields like Public Relations, Communication, Business, Organizational Leadership, Political Science, or similar disciplines.


- Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years (Junior Level) to 8+ years (Senior Level) of relevant experience.
- Preferred background in FEMA or DHS.
- Proficient with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

### Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $130,000/year
Please note that compensation depends on experience, skill sets, and other factors. The listed range is one component of our total compensation package.

### Work Environment
This position is based in the Washington, D.C. Metro area, with potential for remote work (subject to approval). If you live outside the commutable area, travel expenses are not reimbursed.
