Position Overview:

This requires an in-person interview at the work site (DOC Central Office, Mechanicsburg, PA). The start date is as soon as possible , contingent on a compliant PATCH and passing the DOC-related background check.

The current Purchase Order is funded through 6/30/25 , with a high likelihood of extension for an additional year (7/1/25 6/30/26) based on historical funding practices.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, document, and track progress and status on initiatives.
• Demonstrate understanding of project management concepts.
• Respond to management requests for IT asset information.
• Maintain and prepare Chain of Custody documentation for surplus equipment.
• Prepare and dispose of surplus equipment in line with DGS/PSDC guidelines.
• Recommend and schedule IT asset replacements, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Develop and document processes related to IT asset installations, relocations, and changes.
• Provide technical guidance for IT asset procurement and requisition preparation.
• Respond to Level 2 Service Desk tickets regarding asset management issues.
• Analyze, recommend, and implement new phases of the ServiceNow Asset Management module.
• Process ServiceNow updates and reconciliations based on physical inventory reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to PC hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Use Microsoft SCCM to generate hardware and software reports and image laptop/desktop hardware.
• Create technical documentation for staff and end users.
• Provide support for video conferencing platforms, including conference room VC setups and troubleshooting.
• Administer VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and AirWatch WorkspaceOne for reporting and compliance tasks.

Qualifications:

• Experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft SCCM, and VMware VDI.
• Familiarity with video conferencing technologies and conference room setups.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve Level 2 technical issues effectively.
• Strong documentation, coordination, and communication skills.
• Understanding of IT asset management and project management principles.

Additional Information:

• Remote work may be possible after six months of on-the-job training, subject to manager approval and job performance.
• Contract duration is dependent on funding and projected needs.
